Dayaun Waiters is an American actress born and raised in a small town of Miami, Florida called Coconut Grove. This was where she was introduced to track and field and it became an integral part of her life. It was in high school when Dayaun had the epiphany of wanting to become an actress. After being part of a school play, and some student films, Dayaun decided where her passion really lied. She decided to head for New York, on her own, to study at The Atlantic Theater Company Acting School.
When Dayaun is not filming or in class, she finds herself staying creative. She loves fashion and has been able to integrate it in ways that are both expressive and timely. Her signature look can be described as youthful and vintage. She has also interned for Marc Jacobs International at their headquarters office during New York Fashion week.
She is also skilled behind the camera as well as she has a background in sports production and videography. She once served as student intern producer. Dayaun also spends time with music and all things vintage as she has invested in a vinyl collection, a VHS collection for her VCR, and is actively learning to play guitar.
With her recent move to New York, she has been able to work on both student and short films. This city has allowed her to thrive in all aspects of her passions as it offers inclusivity.
